Karl Boyd - Director
Karl Boyd is a proud Status Indigenous person and a dedicated Director on the Board of Gabriel Dumont Non-Profit Homes (Metro Toronto) Inc. Born in Toronto and raised in Scarborough, Ontario — near the communities the organization serves — Karl is deeply committed to giving back to his Indigenous roots and supporting meaningful urban Indigenous housing solutions.
Coming from humble beginnings, Karl transformed his path through self-education in financial literacy and investing. This journey of learning and determination organically led him to build a successful capital markets media and marketing business that has thrived for close to 10 years. As a private investor and single father to his young daughter, he brings a grounded perspective and a strong belief in the power of opportunity, stability, and community support.
A passionate Slo-Pitch Softball enthusiast, Karl strongly believes in the importance of new and retrofitted sports facilities across Canada. He sees quality recreational spaces as vital for improving mental health and well-being for both youth and adults while fostering stronger, more connected communities.
Karl is honored to join the Gabriel Dumont team, where he contributes his entrepreneurial experience, networks, and personal commitment to team building and practical solutions that create lasting positive change for Indigenous families and communities across Metro Toronto.
